CVA ACADEMIC EXCELLENCE SCHOLARSHIPThe CVA Academic Excellence Scholarship is awarded to exceptional International and Domestic Students in the grade 9-12 secondary program at City Vancouver Academy High School. Students will start receiving the CVA Academic Excellence Scholarship in their second year at City Vancouver Academy. The scholarship is renewable until the student graduates. Scholarship Value Eligibility To be considered for the CVA Academic Excellence Scholarship, you must: Be new to CVA. Be a domestic student with Canadian citizenship or permanent resident status; or an international student who will be studying at CVA on a Canadian study permit (student visa). Demonstrate exceptional academic achievement and intellectual promise, as well as impressive extracurricular and community involvement. Have a minimum average of 90%; Meet our English Requirement How to apply Indicate your application for the scholarship on CVA Application Form. Prepare the required Documents. Submit the Application and Documents at the CVA office. Submit Documents Resume: This should include highlights of academic history, work experience, extracurricular involvement, awards, and other notable achievements. Application Essay: “Tell us about your personal story, dreams and future goals for your education planning. Also state how you will contribute to the local community as a student.” (Maximum 1500 words). Proof of Language Proficiency Test Scholarship Status You will be considered for this scholarship at the same time you receive an offer of admission to City Vancouver Academy. When a student meets the basic requirement, they will receive a conditional offer of the scholarship. During their first year in CVA, the student will remain under assessment for the final offer of the scholarship. The following criteria will be assessed: Attendance Course average of 90% or higher Volunteering After school activities English Language Proficiency: Important Notes: This scholarship does not apply to Adult Program students This scholarship does not apply to any repeat course attempts. Student must maintain an overall average of 90% every year. Student must actively participate in extra-curricular activities and demonstrate a strong leadership role. The scholarship can only be applied toward consecutive years of study at City Vancouver Academy. It means the fee for the first 10 courses taken at CVA will not be waived.

CVA SOUTH EAST ASIAN STUDENT GRANTStarting from September 2022, City Vancouver Academy High School is delighted to announce the creation of the grant to be awarded to permanent resident students of countries in Southeast Asia Region who wish to attend City Vancouver Academy High School as a full-time high school student. Student Grant Value We offer student grant of $500.00 per course Fees* Including: Application Fee, Textbook Deposit, Teaching Material Fee, Activity Fee, Provincial Assessments Fee, and Medical Insurance Note: Textbook Deposit is refundable Eligibility To be considered for the CVA Southeast Asian Student Grant, you must: Student with citizenship of Brunei, Burma (Myanmar), Cambodia, Timor-Leste, Indonesia, Laos, Malaysia, the Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam.
