Special thanks to all CVA High School volunteers who helped make the event a big success


City Vancouver Academy High School Students' enthusiastic participation infused the event with a youthful vitality. In in addition to the academic learning in class, the students were given the opportunity to take part in such a significant event, making their learning experience extraordinary unique and memorable.


On July 22 and 23, this summer, Metro Vancouver hosted the largest bubble tea (aka pearl milk tea, boba tea) festival in Canada, drawing more than 20,000 people.


A boba festival was held at Burnaby's Swangard Stadium. A wide variety of street food, including fried chicken, snacks, food trucks and BBQ, is available for purchase.


There were performances, games, and a pearl judging contest where people could vote for their absolute favorite bubble tea shop.


Janet Austin, the B.C.'s newest lieutenant governor , is the representative of Queen Elizabeth II of Canada in the province, she rarely shows up at Chinese-sponsored functions. In addition to her speech, she spent a considerable amount of time sampling food from various vendors at the event.
